Hi,
I’ve tried to find the answer online, but have failed to find out USC’s AP score-reporting policy. I know schools like the UCs are all self reported so leaving out a failed score of 1 or 2 would be okay.
Does USC have this same report-what-you-want policy?
I don’t want to leave a bad score out, only for them to see that it doesn’t match and rescind any possible admission.
Thank you!
Yes, you can just report what you want, so self report the scores that help you. When you send scores, it may send all of them (unless you cancel or request scores witheld) but the APs are never a reason to rescind, so there is no reason to do that. Once you are in you are in, APs won’t change that. So don’t lie about a score, but leaving one (or more) out is fine to do.
Thank you! I’m honestly not sure if they even use AP Scores as a factor admissions, but since its a private school, I think I should play it safe and just not report failed scores?
Yes, APs are really more about getting credit (or just eliminating the need to take a certain class) once admitted than for admissions in terms of what they actually get you, but any good scores are worth reporting. But APs are certainly not a deal breaker in terms of admissions.
I wouldn’t report low (failed) scores. 3s are actually ok - sorta neutral, 1 and 2, nah, wouldn’t report those. I had 4 admitted to USC (one still there), so been through this. Good luck to you!
