I wish I could have dropped off my appeal in person! Did you get to meet with anyone @mazdaspeed3fyhn?

@2016collegegirl Hey I’m backkk! I called the admission office today and they said that we can still upload appeals on April 11th. I’m not sure when the cutoff is (probably at midnight) but obviously I would advise uploading it sometime earlier in the day :)

Hi, I’ve been working on the letter recently and I was wondering if anyone still had the link to the information sheet with the appeal instructions. For some reason, the link isn’t working for me and I wanted to check what was needed for the cover sheet. (:

Thanks!

@trojans17 hey!! glad to see you’re appealing! how’s your letter coming along? i’m going to have some teachers look over mine tomorrow, but i’m worried mine goes a little over a page. it’s so hard trying to fit everything, i even changed the margins!

@2016collegegirl my letter is done! i’m just going to let it sit for a day in case i decide to make any minor changes and i’m gonna have a few more people at school look it over. haha same!!! i changed the margins and top and bottom spacing so many times. and my font is 10.5! i hope they don’t mind… but i really couldn’t say everything i wanted to without doing that! this doesn’t have to be formatted like a formal letter with all the contact infor after the name and the address of the recipient at the top and date etc. right? cause that would take up so much uneccessary space.

Hey! I got into USC for Fall 2012. If anyone of you guys need assistance or editing with your letters feel free to PM me. I think I know a little bit of writing because I am a fine arts major and have done tons of writers workshops.

So if you need any help in the writing area, let me know (by that I mean PM me) :D

@trojans17 omg i’m so nervous! me tooo, all my margins are like .5 but i think i’ll change the font a little! hahaha. i thought about that and i don’t think so because they asked for a cover page anyways with all your personal information! that would take up a lot of room!

@2016collegegirl HAHA omg i know, we have to go through this whole admissions process wait all over again! if we both get in, we have to do something to celebrate! that would be the most amazing thing, but i’m trying not to get too invested in the likely case that i get rejected again. btw do you have the appeal FAQ sheet? i lost mine and i have no idea what goes on the cover sheet! can you post what we need to include on the cover sheet? @rissane wanted to know too :)

@trojans17 i knowww, we have to wait until may! ugh like the last time wasn’t bad enough! if we get accepted, i would feel even happier just knowing we had to really fight our way in and actually earn the spot! we should celebrate, add me on facebook if you want easier to communicate! pm me your info!

here’s what to include on the cover sheet for anyone who’s wondering!

-full name
-usc id number
-name and location of the school you attend
-current mailing address
-telephone number
-email address

just wrote my appeal letter today, just sent it in today. good luck everyone
i exceeded the one page limit by a little bit though… i had really important information to put in… hope all goes well!!!

yay, good luck @runrunrun94!!! update the forum with any news you hear/recieve :)

I’m still debating whether or not to appeal!!!
I’ve been advised not to appeal by some people because it would look bad if I want to transfer (especially after being offered the Trojan Transfer Plan), I would have to maintain a high GPA, and whatever.
But is it really a bad idea to appeal?

you should definitely appeal, doesn’t hurt to try! you never know, i mean we were already denied so it’s not like you have anything to loose. chances are slim, but who cares?! i was also offered the trojan transfer plan so appealing will just let USC know how interested you are in attending! don’t give up!

Trojan transfer plan?

Can’t decide whether to upload my appeal tonight or tomorrow morning. I’m always paranoid the website will crash or something technical will go wrong on the last day, but last time, I submitted my common app to USC a day early and regretted it when I wanted to make a last minute change the day of.

JUST SUBMITTED IT!!! 1:32 a.m. It has been a long night.

Good luck to everyone who appealed this year! Now begins our one month wait to hear back…oh boy! Keep this forum updated with any news you guys hear :)
