@metoyou, S2 is a second year in architecture. So far, I’ve noted that his experience is really different from that of S1, who is in Cinematic Arts. The website does a pretty good job of laying out the curriculum. S2 feels that he’s a bit limited in time for electives, but he’s still trying to squeeze in a minor in Cinematic Arts. Have to say though, that (as expected) he spends A LOT of time in studio – until late at night most weekdays, and he does have to pull the occasional all nighters. That’s not necessarily a negative – it’s more of a bonding experience. In short, the program is extremely rigorous and time intensive, but S2 still finds time for a fairly active social life. Check out the curric here: [Bachelor of Architecture | USC School of Architecture](<a href=“USC School of Architecture”>USC School of Architecture). I hope arch students respond to your post as well…

Social life may be with your classmates because yes, architecture and similar majors (landscape architecture, interior architecture) take a ton of time. Late nights in studio, and all nighters are the norm, typically. The amount of time necessary to do well will weed out the students without a passion for architecture.

I’m a Bachelor of Interior Architecture graduate of Kansas State, 1989. Good luck!

I wish few arch students would have reaponded ! but thanks @CCMThreeTimes…

Alemamom or Georgia girl plz respond !

I knew a few architecture students who definitely had a good social life but when it came down to projects being due they constantly pulled all-nighters to finish them.
