Usc ba/bfa

My D and I recently went to a musical at USC that was cast equally with BA and BFA actors. I have been trying to figure out the differences between the two programs and if it is what it seems, one of those rare schools where kids can get a BA and not be put at a disadvantage in terms of casting with the BFA students. From CC I have learned that the academic requirements for the BFA are not that stringent, meaning that acceptance is 90% audition. I would love to hear from anyone who weighed both programs and decided on one vs. the other and why, and what their experience was like at USC. Thanks!

I second that emotion. Also, does anyone have info on their financial aid?

My suggestion is to ask the question regarding financial aid in the SC forum. SC has the reputation of being generous with financial aid, but students there may be able to give you more insight.

According to their "Meet SC" brochure the financial aid section noted that the 2008-2009 budget for financial aid was $329.6 million dollars. Financial aid counselors can be reached at 213 740 1111 during the hours of 9 to 5 PT.
