USC BacMD 06

So when should we expect interview notifications?

i called them and they told me that they'll either be emailing or sending letters late january or early feb!

nice i cant wait

omg i cant wait!!!!!!!!

does anyone know if they notify you if you will not be receiving an interview?

yes they send out a letter/email to everyone telling them if they got it or not

hmm, i just got mail from USC today telling me that i got into undergrad, but it makes no mention of the program itself....

did anyone get any kind of confirmation saying they received your bac/md app?

yeah i got a confirmation letter for that a while ago, you should have gotten it a few weeks after you turned it in.

wow thats weird; i never got a confirmation either.

err...I didn't get one. abnime did you send your app via mail or online? did the confirmation specifically say for the bac/md program? because I got a confirmation for my app to the vitrebi engineering school...but not for the program :(

wait you can apply engineering and still be part of the bac/md program? i thought you can only be in colleges of letters, arts, and science.

i never got confirmation........all i got was the supplement with those thousands of little stickers hahaha

thats weird, i definitely got a confirmation letter... i sent it in online but i also mailed in my recommendations and stuff. i got a letter saying that i applied to the bac/md program and another one confirming my information

i didnt get a confirmation letter. but i know when i turned it online

Congratulations to those who have been accepted to USC! Here is a word of warning to keep in mind while you wait for the scholarship interview letters to arrive: Several years ago, we were thrilled when my daughter received her Presidential Scholar invitation for an interview. The letter said USC would reimburse us for 1/2 of the airfare, if we booked through STA Travel. The letter urged us to schedule the date of the interview right away. Of course, we did not delay, and purchased non-refundable plane tickets. It was a bit annoying to receive a letter written 2 days after the Presidential letter, informing her that she was invited to interview for the Bac MD program. This interview was offered on the day after the Presidential interview. We had to pay $100 out of pocket to change her ticket, plus the difference for a slightly higher airfare. Had the 2 offices coordinated their mailings, this problem could have been avoided. If you receive an offer to interview for a Presidential or Trustee scholarship, my advice is to wait a few days before making arrangements, just in case you are offered a Bac MD interview. Good luck to you!

thank you fer the advice graduatingmom...god knows if i could save a few bucks here and there

hmm...i got an letter for an interview for the presidential scholarship!

graduatingmom...how long do you think i should sit tight before booking tickets?
