congrats brandnewjukebox and senior0007!!

i live in california!

I guess rejectees get no email, 'cos I only got a letter. :-[

and i only got a mail...not an e-mail.

oh phew. i think i was just freaking out. congratulations all of you! :]
i am in jersey, so i should probably not expect it until like Thursday or something

can someone who got in, please post your stats? great thanks

GOT IT!!!! SWEEEET omfg california

SAT: 2120, 2400
rank: top 5%

congrats!! can you list the SAT II and AP tests you took? great thanks!

oh yah i was so happy i forgot.

SAT II: bio 790 chem 740 math iic 770
AP: bio 5, us history 4

to be honest, i didnt volunteer like 500+ hours and i feel bad b/c it really ended up not mattering. i just wrote volunteer on my resume and nobody asked for the hours. and i also have not had research experience. i did work in a medical office as an assistant (but it was my moms haha). i hardly had leadership positions although they are always good.

to be most successful, i would suggest study hard for SATs and the rest, just do whatever is most fulfilling. don't waste time on stuff that you think will get you into ____ college unless you happen to also realy enjoy it/interested. it all works out some time or another!

:] PM me if you are going to USC bacc/md. cause I AM! word..

thank you soooooo much!!! this is one of the most honest and valuable advice I got!! don't know how much I appreciate and am very envious of you too :-)

I'm into the Bacc/MD program! Whoo! Trojans all the way!!!

aw i am flattered i think. hehe good luck!

yay wear2go! are you going to USC? you SHOULD!! i'm so psyched. if you are, can we talk about housing haha.

Hey 'shedoesntgetit' whats up? I am 98% sure I'm going--which house are you looking at--I like New House.

can someone advise what SAT II & AP tests I shall take for USC? I'm in IB program, shall I drop IB after 10th grade and just take many AP classes? great thanks!

Math IIC and Bio/Chem should be fine SAT II wise. I think IB classes have just as much prestige as AP so just take as many as you can handle!

thank you, someone told me to be able to "stand out" for ba/md program, I'll need to take 5 to 10 AP tests and take many SAT II tests also, which almost sound impossible since most of AP classes are given when you're in 11 or 12 grade. So I wonder what AP/SAT II I shall prepare to take...

well, i was a miracle to get an interview but i guess i didnt shine enough. my gpa was perfect but my sat scores were 1970, decent courseload (8 APs 11th and 12th) but i was extremely involved and i think that and my essays is what got me an interview over my friend who also applied with 2380 SAT 1 score.. so my advice? be involved..heavily.

8 APs - which AP tests did you take?
