<p>I can’t speak to UCLA, but USC is selective both to get into theatre program and to the school. The theatre school aims for a class of about 20 BFAs and 80 BAs each year (I am told). My assumption is that the BFA selection is more based upon audition, but that BAs do have to get through the academic admission in addition to being accepted by the theatre school.</p>
