Hey Everyone,
Ive been looking at CC posts for a very long time but I thought that I might try a post and see what responses I may get. Just a little background on myself, I am a Senior in high school and I am 18 yrs old. I have been making people laugh my whole life but I became really serious about acting about 4 years ago and I want to make a career out of it, Its what I love to do!

Anyways, My USC BFA audition is tomorrow (dun dun DUUUUN) and Im freaking out. Although I am very confident in my acting abilities, I just thought id ask everyone on here what they thought about my chances of getting in, so here is my College-related info.

I havent had the best grades, freshman year I had a whopping a 2.6 then a 3.0 sophmore year, a 3.5 junior year, and a 4.1 so far this year. No community service, but I am involved in various clubs such as Drama and SAGE. I was a member of SAGE for 2 years and I was the founding president of my schools Drama Club (held meetings, created events, approved documents, etc.)

The main thing I have going for me is my resume. I have built up a 2 page resume in the last 4 years and yes I tried as hard I could to keep it at one page (made smaller margins, size 10 font, cut out a few pieces) but ultimately I had to make it two pages. I have gotten leads in 14+ high school productions as well as a few productions outside of school, I have taken 5+ courses at ACT San Francisco and have also been in productions with them. The most prominent production that I was a part of was a world premiere play at ACT. we auditioned in February for a part in a World Premiere play that would take us to Scotland for 2 weeks to study with the playwright as well as perform with 10+ other countries at His Majestys Theatre. They only do this trip bi-annually. Out of about 100 auditionees, I was picked along with 7 other actors to be in the world premiere and after coming back from Scotland we spent 3 months in rehearsal and premiered it at ACT in the fall. It was an amazing experience and it helped me gain much more confidence in my abilities.

Lastly, I have very very strong letters of rec from very high people in the theatre community, which I hope help me out a lot, but then again who knows?!

Acting is my life and I have already begun to develop my hard skin to rejection because along with all of the productions ive been in there have been multiple failed auditions and callbacks. I do not mean to sound like I am bragging I just thought I would lay it out for the crowd. Any input would be wonderful, just opinions on my chances or the USC program as a whole, I would love to hear it all! Thanks for reading and I look forward to hearing back from you!
