USC chances

Posted this in the chances section, but got no replies, so...

Rising senior (c/o 2012)

SAT: 2060 (710 CR, 630 MATH, 720 W)

I'll be taking the SAT one more time, but this time I'm prepping for it pretty seriously. So hopefully I can hit 2200.

3.9 GPA (unweighted -- all honor core classes; 6 APs by the time I graduate)
Class Rank: 24 out of 335 or so
AP: Literature -- 5, Psychology, 5, and I'm taking Stats, Physics, Euro, and a joint enrollment class during my upcoming senior year. I took US history, but didn't take the AP test because the class was honestly a joke due. I regret that, though.
EC: Varsity soccer (3 year letter; possibly a captain next season), club soccer, member of local Latin American center, NHS, volunteer/counselor at SUPERATE camp, which is for young latino students, volunteer referee for YMCA rec league, volunteer with my school's soccer camp, plan to Intellectual/Philosophical club next year.

The LAC has encompassed various volunteer activities.

Also, I'm a pretty good writer, and I have a lot draw on for my essays considering my background, so I feel that will help my application.

So, what are my chances?

If you hit that 2200, I’d say you have a pretty good chance. The GPA is there, you have URM status, ECs are not superb but they are better than many applicants. Getting a higher SAT will insure you’re “in” rather than rejected.

Of course, if you’re looking at something like SCA or another portfolio-based school, that will depend on other factors. What is your intended major?

you look pretty good as such. no problems!
