I'm an international student from the UK and i am applying to USC. Im 19.

I've lived in the US for 5 months but now realized my college I'm studying at is not right for my aspirations as a student cinematographer.Im not applying as a transfer student, however. Here is the deal...

I am applying to the cinema school for the production program. I have a GPA (well the converted form from UK grades) of 3.3.

I have a long list of portfolio material from editing to camera operator to DP etc etc.

I have recommendations from film professors in the UK, NASA, the BBC and a journalist who works for national newspapers in the UK.

I will not need financial aid. I like to think my personal essays and such are in good shape, well, USC students have told me they are.

I mean, what chance do i really have of being accepted. Bear in mind my application will be turned in by the end of next week with permission from admissions.

I hear the fact that an international student without the need for financial aid is an advantage. Is this true?

well if they said you could still apply then you still have a chance. You are asking how to apply and what to send? I think you should be asking them.

No, i was asking if anyone if they like internationals with money. Is that an advantage on top of what i already have

Sortof. You have an advantage relative to all of the internationals with no money. In addition, USC has the highest number of international students of all schools in the U.S, so it seems they welcome internationals.
