i was accepted to annenberg. I am posting my stats on the decisions page rn

The same acceptance letter that was mailed is now up on the Application Status Check, Application Decision Notice. Bad extension on the file, it’s a pdf.

Congrats to all that received acceptances and interviews for scholarships!! My daughter just received an email a few minutes ago regarding the scholarship process and that unfortunately she was not one of the 1000/28,000 that was selected to interview. This same letter has also been posted on her application status as well but the document doesn’t want to open if you try read it there, but it should have also been sent to your email and you are able to read it there. Hope this might help some people that are waiting for one of the two letters. The good news is that it says that they plan to offer admission to 9000 people so this initial group is only a small portion of those that will be offered admittance.

Here’s that email, just got it too. Dear Ioannis,

Thank you for your application to the University of Southern California. I am writing to update you regarding our admission programs, including selection for many of our scholarship programs.

Scholarship Selection
More than 28,000 students applied for admission in time to be considered for merit scholarships. We have identified approximately 1,000 finalists who will proceed to the next phase of consideration for our top awards: the Mork Family, Stamps Leadership, Trustee, and Presidential scholarships. Ioannis, I am sorry to say you were not selected for further consideration for these awards.
Your application will still be considered for other awards listed on our Scholarships page, and I encourage you to apply for financial aid if you have not already done so. Visit the Financial Aid website for application instructions. Also, if you are admitted, named a National Merit Finalist and select USC as your first-choice institution, you will receive a USC Presidential Scholarship worth one-half tuition.

Admission Selection
So far we have identified a small portion of the 9,000 first-year students to whom we will offer admission. There is plenty of room for great candidates.
We are working hard to ensure that you and all other applicants receive the utmost consideration during the coming weeks. I am grateful for your patience as you wait for us to finish this hard work.

Mid-Year Reports
If you or your school counselor has not already done so, please submit your final grades from the first term of your senior year. For your convenience, you can report them online at USConnect.
Decision Notification
We expect to finish our review and mail notification of our decision during the last week in March, so you have it by April 1. In the meantime, you can visit USConnect to check the status of your application.
Thank you for applying to USC. If you have questions, please feel free to contact us online or at (213) 740-1111.

Got the same email.

I just checked usconnect and nothing had changed except I had a new current message “Application Decision Notification” under my status and I opened it and it’s a .pdf saying I GOT IN! I’m so happy I can’t believe this! I was so sure having nothing else meant I would be waiting! I don’t have any info about scholarships but hopefully that will come in the mail today! :D

My USConnect hasn’t changed and I have no email…what is happening to me!? haha. The stress of this is too much to handle

I have not received an email and my application status has not changed. Do you think the email notifying me I have not received a scholarship is coming or is there any possibility of my status changing to accepted? This anticipation is killing me.

Yeah, I just got denied for the scholarships too. I didn’t expect one - I only got a 31 ACT and 4.1 GPA. But, I just wanted to get accepted early instead of waiting another TWO MONTHS.

And now the waiting begins.

My daughter’s envelope surprisingly came in the mail yesterday afternoon. We live in South OC. Yesterday the pdf message in Connect wasn’t there but this morning it was. She wasn’t offered any scholarships either but is just thrilled to have gotten in to Marshall. Since stats seem important to some on this board, she had a weighted 4.5, top 3% of her class, and 2030 SAT. Good luck to all.

momofknowitall (love your handle), in the past students accepted early without a P/T scholarship interview received a Dean’s scholarship letter a few days (a week?) later. So no promises, but she may get “something” after all! Congrats on her admission!

Thx Jazz! This weekend is (potentially) getting better and better  Good luck to everyone!

Got the mail today with no letter. So still no letter, no email, and no change to my USConnect account. With no mail on Sunday’s it sounds as though I’m going to have a rough 50 hours or so until I can get the mail again.

…

For anyone who hasn’t heard anything yet, keep checking the Application Status Check on USConnect! I got a message saying I was admitted and nothing else on there changed. I’m so relieved! I know I’m getting a package soon so I can stop worrying :)

But does anyone know for sure if they ONLY admitted the huge scholarship candidates and no one else at this point?
