*******USC Class of 2020 Results/Discussion Thread**********

We feel your pain, @GeekMom1 .

Is there any way to confirm that they got it by December 1st and that my application was in fact being considered for a merit scholarship?

.

@pterosprite It is a fact that scholarships are decided by school, but I’m not sure about major. Each school gets a certain amount of scholarships to give out to its applicants.

@GeekMom1 His stats are strong! Give it one more day to receive something in the mail… but if you still haven’t received anything, then :frowning: …People in Texas, New York, etc. have already received packages. Anyways, if he does get accepted in the spring, there may be some scholarships given to him with that package! (on top of NMSF 1/2 tuition)

anybody get anything in IL ?

Anyone from WI?

@USAStudent06 USC will send out a letter or an email to ALL applicants who applied by the Dec 1 deadline letting them know they didn’t get a scholarship, but are still being considered for regular admission… that letter/email should be coming in the next week or two

@GeekMom1 If it makes you feel better, my son doesn’t have a box yet. We don’t even know whether he’ll get one. We’re in FL. S has 2290 (800M/770CR/720W) took once, NM Semi-Finalist (Finalist very likely), 3 Subject Test 800/ML2, 790/Physics, 730/Bio. 4.0 UW/ 5.14W, Top 1% of his class. National AP Scholar (9 AP up to Junior Year + 7 more AP = 16AP in total), 2 DE, National Hispanic Scholar (He’s a URM). Dual Citizen from a very poor, under-represented country. He applied for engineering :frowning:

Don’t lose hope! Good luck!

Will the portal still update even if we don’t receive a scholarship?

@GeekMom1 I’m from AZ as well and have gotten nothing so far with 2340 SAT, 3.92 GPA :frowning:

Long time lurker of CollegeConfidential but this is my first post

I got my package here in North Florida and am a finalist for the presidential scholarship! I will say that I’m a bit surprised, my SAT score isn’t as high as others (2140) though my GPA is pretty high (3.9 UW / 4.78 W) and my subject tests were pretty great as well. If anything, I think it was my essays and involvement at my school that helped give me an extra push. I’m ecstatic and excited, USC has always been a dream school of mine but now I’m one step closer to making it a reality.

Congrats to all those who also got in and for those that have to wait, don’t stop believing!

Did anyone’s portal change?

@gphati yes, I received an acceptance letter today

Anyone from Washington??

I think it’s ok. Many universities still accept applications submitted after the deadline. Like UCs.

@tryhard007 We are in Seattle area. DD received box in today’s mail.

@rriv2734 can I ask your stats?

@Gabrie555 Thanks!

@GeekMom1, how does someone with those stats not get anything?
