*******USC Class of 2020 Results/Discussion Thread**********

USC has been my dream school for as long as I remember but as an international student I feel like I’ll be disadvantaged bc I haven’t done the prep a lot of other students have :frowning:

What other schools has everyone else applied to?
I’ve only gotten in LMU in LA and Cal poly Slo for biomedical engineering. Still USC and UC schools…

@mash97
I’m also an international student & I have my eyes set on USC as well!! I applied to 11 schools (which 2 already rejected me :/)

I have an acceptance from LMU as well. It was one of my backup schools, so it was nice to hear that someone wants me.

I also applied to UC Berkeley, UCSD, a couple Ivies, and Sarah Lawrence (my other top choice, but I doubt I’ll get the financial aid I need. They are not need-blind)

I’m expecting rejections from the Ivies (because the numbers are just against me. 6% is a tough acceptance rate). I don’t really want to go to a big school like the UC’s. USC has everything I want in a school, and it’s the only school I will be truly devastated to get a rejection from.

USC is actually bigger than most of the UCs. Just saying…

It’s undergrad class size is about 10,000 less than Berkeley…

And the student to faculty ratio is almost half of Berkeley’s.

I have an acceptance from UT-Austin. (i guess this will serve as my backup school)

Also applied to Duke, Vanderbilt, Dartmouth, UCLA, USC, and Stanford.
Still waiting to hear back.

USC has about 18,500 undergraduates; the rest are graduate students.

Does anyone here have experience with video auditions for USC SDA? I have a few questions as I did a video audition.

Still over a month away. The wait is killing me. At first I thought USC was an unattainable dream but then I recieved supplementals from UCSD and UCLA…which means I had a chance there…maybe I have a chance here…I’m dying to know.

I am pretty much expecting to not get into USC. My SAT is in the pretty decent range but my UW GPA is not their average. I wish I spent a little more time on the essays too. They were a bit bland.

My GPA is a tad low, but my grades dropped junior year after I was hospitalized for a severe concussion. I’m depending on that and my essays to push me through.

My essays have gotten me into all my reach schools so far…but this is USC…I don’t know how much they care to know about my life story. I’m counting down the days.

@ClassOf2020x @mjstewart1224 @majesticmarmarr What were your guys SAT scores if you don’t mind me asking.

Anyone got 2015 Tax Returns verification for FinAid?

@filmdreamer23 Mine was 2170. Def not superb, but at least not low enough for USC to think I’m crazy for applying haha :slight_smile: I also took two subject tests which will hopefully help me out a bit fingers crossed

@filmdreamer23 2180! Not the best but enough for me to say “Yeah my GPA is low but I got a reason and look at this potential!”

@ClassOf2020x @majesticmarmarr
I have already been accepted and invited to interview for scholarship with a 2180 SAT, don’t think your scores are too low! My GPA isn’t incredible either, think positively, a lot more than those numbers go into your consideration.

@southeastkid Thank you so much for your kind words :slight_smile: If you don’t mind me asking, what was your GPA? Unweighted and/or weighted

@ClassOf2020x I made a few Bs in high school, and my weighted GPA (my school doesn’t tell me unweighted) is around 4.3! Definitely good, but certainly not spectacular!
