International business and Russian!
human bio with a pre-med emphasis.
Good luck to all of us
Just found out I was probably rejected for another scholarship I applied to, in addition to the one I was rejected from earlier this week… I have a ton of homework due tomorrow but I can’t focus enough to get any of it done. This sucks, guys.
I don’t know how I’m going to deal with this rejection :((
I applied as engineering because I’m an idiot
I applied to Marshall school of business
I’m hoping we all continue to post on here so we can get to know each other as we go through this exciting time together. So here’s a question for all of you, why did you choose USC?
For me it’s because of the pride of the Trojan family. I’m a huge family person myself, and I know leaving my family to go to college will be very difficult for me. That’s why it’s important that the place I go to will make me feel comfortable and become a place that I’ll call home. I volunteer at USC Keck hospital and the Trojan family there is unbelievable. Everyone is so nice and they really care about making their patients feel happy and comfortable. I also visited USC for a tour and whenever the tour guides pass each other, instead of saying “Hey!,” they pridefully say “Fight on!” I know it’s probably a thing for them to follow, but for me it was really awesome to see. And plus, their Human Bio major has a pre-med emphasis and will put me on the right track! I’m really hoping I get to become part of the Trojan family with all of you!
@pterosprite I feel you. I’ve been rejected from four schools in a week-long span, one of which I considered a solid match. This process is an emotional roller coaster ride, but just hang in there. This will all be over in 2 weeks!
I applied to USC because it offers the full traditional college experience: a lively social scene, awesome sports teams, school spirit, research opportunities, and a fantastic education all in the gem that is L.A.! The Trojan network is the cherry on top, and will certainly help someone with political aspirations such as myself. USC has been my top choice since junior year and I would give a limb to get in. Whatever happens, I’ll always be a Trojan fan but I really hope it works out for us!!!
Well I applied undeclared to Dornsife, but I think I am going to focus on biology and comparative politics, with possible pre med track. I will probably also minor in theater. I applied to USC for so many reasons, but mostly because it combines the three academic tracks I am looking for, it has a great location, it’s big, and I get to stay instate. I live in the bay area, and I hope most of us get in so we can get to know each other pretty well.
@mdorbust I totally agree with you, that USC offers the full traditional college experience.
@imvegetarian2016 USC never asked me for my parents’ taxes or anything. Under the received FA documents all I have is FAFSA and CSS and it tells me “no required documents”
@mayamcg I’m in the Bay as well! Where else have you been accepted thus far?
@collegecurious15 That’s weird! I wonder what that means
@collegecurious15 Did they use the data retrieval tool for FAFSA? If so, that might be why. That pretty much takes the place of submitting taxes (for most schools anyway).
@mdorbust BU, UW, UCSC, U Miami. Still waiting on UC Irvine and UCSB. Rejected from UCLA.
@mayamcg Congrats on the acceptances! You have some great options. Fingers crossed USC will be thrown into the mix soon enough!
@mdorbust Thank you! and yes I hope so too. Where have you heard back from? Also where in the bay do you live?
Fingers crossed for USC Business. Really wish I gave USC Engineering a try though, does anyone know what the internal transfer rate for Viterbi is…?
@Alamom no I didn’t use the data retrieval tool. I know that we filled out the FAFSA with 2014 info but I can’t think of any reason why I didn’t get the notification to submit the taxes…
Oh could it be because I said I wasn’t applying for financial aid on my application?
