all it has are 3 tabs that say respond to a communication from usc, join our mailing list, or sign up for a campus tour… @vimyle
@sjinae Yeah I don’t see that
@southeastkid, scholarship stays with you wherever you go at USC
oh no…
Your portals are gonna be whack for the next 48 hours, don’t over-analyze or you will go nuts! (But I get it is almost impossible not to )
has anyone else gotten a request for Medical and Dental records in Financial Aid?
USC is more selective than UCLA. It is harder to get into USC than UCLA based on the admission statistics.
oh my god i just went through a hundred pages from last years thread
@vimyle Was it worth it? Did you find anything?
@Aralis Yeah definitely.
This post was by Newsie2015 who did recaps throughout the thread:
(I put some information in brackets because some of this is out of context)
"THREAD RECAP
About the package:
Mailed yesterday [3/24/2015] at 2pm pacific time
Acceptances are shipped priority and come in a yellow package [this year might be in white boxes?]
Rejections come in a white thin letter shipped standard
If you did not get it today [3/25/2015] you will likely get it tomorrow unless you live in a rural area
International students will receive their package via DHL within 2-5 days
Only people in the LA area so far have received their acceptance
No denials as of today [3/25/2015] have been received
Most scholarship notifications will not come in your package
Those who received major scholarships (trustee or presidential) have their notifications already
You can get accepted for either spring 2016 or fall 2015
Spring admits receive the same package as fall admits
Visit here to find out when your package should be received: https://www.usps.com/priority-mail/map/
Spring Admits
Start school in spring
Most spring admits usually attend a CC during the fall
Usually can graduate at same time as fall admits
Can also study abroad with USC partner schools in Switzerland, London or Paris.
Can also take a gap semester
Cannot apply for housing until july
typically have lower stats than fall admits
USC has spring admits so that they can boost their USWR rankings but still have a full class
Guaranteed housing
More info here: http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/firstyear/admittedspring/springadmits.html
Portal
Those accepted still have “appeal admissions decision”
“Information about the Scholarship process” has moved from Current Message History to Past Message History for everyone
There are no known leaks in the portal
To see stats of those accepted already you can check here:

My portal is still not updated to the new items on the menu. Is anyone having the same problem?
@vimyle I’m not sure I understand what you mean. What are you seeing?
@filmdreamer23 People are saying there are three new tabs that say “respond to a communication from USC, join our mailing list, or sign up for a campus tour”
@vimyle Oh, I thought those people were saying that those three tabs were the only tabs showing up and that everything else was not there.
@filmdreamer23 Ah, that might be it.
Does it say your financial aid is done or is in review? @vimyle
@filmdreamer23 When I click the “check status,” it says that my financial aid application is still in review with the triangle. But, it’s probably because I haven’t completed the additional required documents yet.
I found a whole thread about that “my portal suddenly changed to pre-applicant” from last year and it seems it was just a temporary glitch, so don’t worry.
@Impeccable20 wait how did you hear about Tulane? Have they sent out decisions yet?
Okay I had no idea Tulane released decisions. I just checked and I got rejected lol. So far, only been admitted to 3 out of 8 schools. Yay. USC, please don’t make it 4/9.
