I’m 2 days too!
My D also applied to Thornton. Portal says “Application in Review” with a clock next to it. We submitted FAFSA and CSS - we were not asked for any additional information.
Looks like it will take 2 days to get the decision – that puts us at Friday. It is going to be a long week.
@filmdreamer23 my financial aid says the same thing about the program of study. Mine changed to that last week sometime so I called the FA office and they told me that it was nothing to worry about that if I was selected for admission it would update itself. I was concerned too but I guess it doesn’t mean anything really
When will international students recieve mails?
Mine will arrive in 1 day 
I live around an hour away from USC
USC is my only chance after getting wait listed at UCLA

INTERNATIONAL:
Packets have gone DHL and typically take 3-4 days to central Europe as a frame of reference, rejections letters can take up to two weeks (International only) cause they are sent regular mail. Portal updates long before the rejection letters arrive internationally. It appears that they get international envelopes out to DHL a day early because I have seen some internationals posting they get a package in those first couple days as well, but can’t confirm that, just a guess. Do not know about ability to track DHL - not sure if that is option they offer if you have an account with them. (Again, in US it is not a package and not trackable!)

@Aralis I am banking that they are doing what they did in last several years and actually sending out a day earlier than they are saying, including updating the portal on the 25th (Friday morning) rather than the 26th which is what they are saying on social media. These people like their weekends too and updating Friday as they have always done makes more sense than dealing with it on a Saturday.
No one complains if it is a day earlier! And for the last several years, people start receiving acceptances on Wednesday and portal is updated Friday.
I could be totally wrong, they could do what they have posted, but I am banking on history to prevail. Don’t mean to make anyone more anxious (like that is possible) but let’s see what happens.

Is UCLA better academically ? I know it would depend by major but overall they do seem to always be ranked higher in USWN reports. Discuss ?
@CADREAMIN I was thinking the same when I was lowkey stalking USC admissions on every social media network lol. I really hope they mail tomorrow! Do you think they’ll post pics of the letters going out like they did last year?
@pleaseacceptme99 It seriously depends. Biological sciences? UCLA. Engineering, business, the arts? USC hands down. But tbh, rankings mean hardly anything and both schools have been hovering around the same #. Go where you feel at home.
@pleaseacceptme99 UCLA and USC are very similar in academics. However, most people say USC is better at supporting its students and has better resources because it’s a private school. I’ve visited both school and gone to both open houses, and really it just comes down to a matter of preference (not only the campus, but also the surrounding area)
