Im pretty sure though it means nothing, but I can access the fall housing app as of right now.
I think everyone has that. But you can’t actually apply for housing. I can register too. I think everyone can.
@Abwee67 It says under the register form that information for freshman won’t be uploaded until Monday the 28th, like that other poster said. So it probably means nothing
At least I don’t think you can apply. I haven’t actually tried, because that’s a lot of work. Lol. But yes I can also access the housing applications.
@filmdreamer23 nothing’s been recieved- but I just double checked every other college I applied to and they’ve all recieved them!! So?!!
@vimyle Theres a message along the lines of “in order to be considered for financial aid you must submit a FAFSA…CSS Profile…” And links and stuff. But…I did?? They just haven’t recieved it ever??
NYC - 2 days if you’re really lucky; 3 is average; and 4 is on the long side, but it can happen–by then, things will be posted on the portal.
I realized it means nothing haha. Kinda shady though that USC allows non-admitted students to register for housing and pay the fee.
@Abwee67 yeah, that does seem strange that they would just let everyone register and pay the fee when we haven’t been admitted yet.
You guys entered your USC ID and it worked in the housing registration?
Hey guys, so… if you look on the “find your admissions counselor” section of the USC website you would find Marcos Garcia representing Tennessee, Arkansas, and a number of other regions. His profile was on the “Meet the Admissions Counselors” section earlier this application season, but has been removed and now there is nobody listed representing those states, so MYSTERIOUS
I just went through fafsa and CSS and hit submit again, I may call the office tomorrow to check and see what was up…hopefully they’ll recieve them?? If I do end up getting in, I won’t be able to attend without aid. Every other college has offered me full tuition and then some (whether it be through loans or grants or work study) due to my EFC being $0.
I think they allow us to pay the app fee because maybe we are listed as a non-renewable undergraduate or something like that. @mjstewart1224
@sydneyk98 you have to hit “register” first, and put in your name and address and stuff. Then it gives you a password. I think anyone can do it, which seems crazy.
Yeah, as long as you have a USC NetID it seems anyone can do it.
What about Los Angele? What is the estimated time that we are gonna receive our letter?
I guess the question is when you click to access the application, what does it say next to “Academic Year 2016/2017”
Well, thats the question if you really want to get indepth with the housing.
How do you get the USC netID?
Tempted to apply just in case I get in and I want a good housing position… but alas, I don’t want to waste the money
Speaking of Admissions Counselors my specific Admissions Counselor for my region seemed extremely aloof. He never responded to a single email and during college fairs never even set up any pamphlets or posters and very rarely had conversations with perspective students. I am really scared that this might affect my admissions because they are the people who read application first. I was curious about other applicant’s relationships with their regional admissions counselors.
@sydneyk98 if you want to register on the housing site just use your 10 digit number they sent you after you applied
