Just got my package here in Hampton Roads, VA… spring admission 
not bad I suppose. Disappointed for sure, but so so grateful that, for whatever reason, they thought I was good enough to not outright reject. I’m not sure if I’ll go through with it, need to talk to my guidance counselor… but, yeah! Thank all of you so much for helping me get through this process. White low-income female from an underfunded high school in Hampton Roads, VA
Has anyone in New Orleans received anything? Last year USC accepted 11 out of 22 applicants from my school and this year they have accepted 0 out of 30 applicants if no mail = rejection. This has to be a mistake… Unless someone in Louisiana has received a white box, I’ll wait until tonight at 12 AM PST as the odds of every applicant being rejected from my school is VERY low statistically (multiple 35 ACT, 3.9+ GPA students)
@rawk123 We r from NJ and got nothing today. But a friend that lives half hour away did get her package today. Crawling under rock til 3am EST

@CADREAMIN Congratulations! Yes, we parents are all in this process, too. It takes a village. I truly don’t know how kids who don’t have parents to help them get through it manage at all. Happy for you and your daughter!

Does the portal update right at midnight LA time? Or throughout the day or what?
S got accepted here in south FL. He applied for engineering and accepted undeclared. I guess we need to call to see how hard to transfer in. He can opt out of almost all first year engineering classes with 5’s on AP exams. So we are happy but confused.
People are saying the portal is updated already…I’m not home and my wants to check it without me :((
I just checked the portal. Nothing there for my nephew yet.

And yes the portal is not supposed to update until midnight PST. If you see nothing yet that is how it’s supposed to be. It’s not yet 3pm here in California.
Had such a dirty trick played on me yesterday… I got a call in the middle of physics class from Los Angeles (which is weird because I’m in PA) and I assumed it was USC. Sat there for an hour trying to pay attention in class, then I rushed to the bathroom to call the number back… it was a telemarketer. I got zero mail today so I have no idea if I’m in or not, but the world can be especially cruel sometimes.
@chips99 congrats!!! I had the same feeling for you as filmstudent2! It’s an interesting option - you sacrifice that freshman fall, but do graduate from USC. It is a tough decision - follow your heart!
