@pluskid May I know what major he applied and where you are located?
@CADREAMIN I applied to Thornton and was accepted. Can I still recieve a large scholarship from the university—or would I have heard already if I did? If they send me a scholarship, when would I find out?
@CADREAMIN so are all thornton packages trackable? I was day 3 and did not get anything today, but i could not find anything i could track past today’s mail in my informed delivery.

@slohi28 I received my acceptance two days ago, I’m an international student from Canada. They accept around 32 kids in hopes to get a class size around 25 in the end. They assume 7 of the accepted will go elsewhere.
Anyone think it’ll be like the January scholarship notifications when it seemed as if all the scholarship nominees were notified first on the portal (meaning around 12am PST) and then the “rejections” were rolled out later?

@oregonkiddo, I was just told that some of them were sent out independently from Thornton, so not exactly sure how to interpret that. Also this USPS system is quite new, so even if they all were sent with tracking, I wouldn’t trust them to have them in every place in the country. I just don’t think it is up everywhere yet. @CaBeachMom Exactly. That is what can be fantastic about it. Best case scenario, he loves his alternate weather universe and wants to stay. But other best case scenario is he has a plan B! Congrats!
@piranhavator Some departments have larger scholarships, but the 1/2 and full tuition university scholarships have already been given out. We did hear of an Annenberg 25k award which I had no idea was possible, maybe Thornton has larger ones too. I really don’t know. You should find out with acceptance, although sometimes departmental awards of 4k or so are added later - even just showing up on your account. Crazy.
@oregonkiddo did you apply to movie making? By any chance did you go to Acma?
