USC Class of 2022

@sandiegoteen2000 all of San Diego must’ve gotten mail by now, mine came around 330, I live by Del Mar

@rugby1562 I live in Carmel Valley! I got the mail and there was nothing of importance.

@caffeinequeen123 im in south FL and received nothing today

Well, I think that there are so many students on the West coast that loves USC, it becomes extremely competitive for admission, let alone scholarship. We went to an info session for Viterbi in Seattle. The admission director looked at all the students in the room and said, “sorry to tell you, but the attendance today is more than the total number of students we admit to the entire Viterbi school this year.” So … tough.

@Marcie123 @DDHH2017 Can I ask which part of the Bay? Peninsula? South Bay?

Who else on the east coast is setting their alarm for 3am

@CADREAMIN You seem to be super knowledgeable and helpful (thank you so much, I’m sure you’ve got something better to do). My question is where is it indicated what scholarship you are up for? My sons simply says “you have been selected for a full tuition scholarship" does this mean he is up for any of them? People seem to know if it’s trustee, presidents etc, my sons letter doesn’t read that way.

does anyone know of the different acceptance rates to each college? (I applied to dornsife and I put annenberg as my second choice but now I’m regretting it because I’m loving journalism more and more each day)

literally same lol @doglover760

@rugby1562 wait did you get the box?? If so congrats! (But low key my heart will break lol)

@throwowoy we are in the East Bay

@happywaffles Well, the breakdown for enrolled students last year was…

Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences 37%
Marshall School of Business 19%
USC’s Arts Schools 17%
(Architecture, Cinematic Arts, Dramatic Arts,
Kaufman School of Dance, Roski School of Art
& Design, Thornton School of Music)
Viterbi School of Engineering 14%
Undecided / Undeclared 6%
Annenberg School for Comm. & Journalism 5%
Price School of Public Policy 1%
Keck School of Medicine (Health Studies) 1%
Davis School of Gerontology <1%
Occupational Therapy Program <1%

So, this likely mirrors fairly closely the breakdown related to admitted students as well.

@wchatar2 Does it say anything about interviewing? It should have the scholarship on the letter - and it should say the amount per year - can anyone else jump in that has a current letter with full tuition. Does it really just say “you have been selected for a full tuition scholarship" ?

Usually when it doesn’t have a name it means a Dean’s 1/4, and those you do not interview for, but yours has “full tuition” on it, so I am confused.

@happywaffles Haha I live in Carmel Valley too. CCA

@Ploince I’m also in Carmel Valley next to CCA. But I go to SDJA

so anxious, in MD and no box…

@Ploince well… isn’t that a coincidence. I go to cca as well!

@sandiegoteen2000 no I didn’t get a box sadly, hoping for tomorrow or the portal tonight, also I go to CCHS @happywaffles @Ploince

@CADREAMIN here is what it says verbatim “Congratulations! You have been selected as a finalist for a full-tuition scholarship. Please see the enclosed Experience USC booklet to learn more about visiting campus. A scholarship interview, held during one of our Explore USC programs, will be the next step in competing for this award.” That is under the heading of “Merit Scholarship Status”. I mean I’m ecstatic but I don’t really understand.

When will the portal update
