@CADREAMIN gotcha, just got home and waiting for mail. Fingers crossed.
Fingers crossed for you @burrowsc! Oh I remember those daysâŠCan you believe on one of our big school acceptances (not USC, but still big deal), the day it was suppose to arrive we got the neighbors mail instead of ours. Ahhhhhh! I was driving like 80mph down a two lane road like a crazy woman to chase after the mailman, which was so silly considering he stops all the time to drop off mail.
Iâve been through USC four times and it was always the most stressful.
Agree. Thereâs no certainty or finality when you donât get a package until you see it on the portal. It is absolute torture for those waiting. There has to be another way when the whole admissions process is already so stressful.
And for a little trivia - before this not that many years ago, there wasnât a portal update - so if you didnât get a package, you waited to get a physical âno scholarshipâ letter or rejection letter in March. So kids/parents literally hung by their mailbox for a week+ hoping their package was just lost, until that letter came (which at that time was mailed well after the packages). I had an athlete first who knew a year ahead he was attending USC, but watched a friendâs daughter go through a week of utter agony. Tooo painful. They should of mailed the ânoâ letters at the same time, but I guess they were only concerned with who they accepted. Cruel and unusual punishment. They are better about that now.
So if I donât get a package today and Iâm close to usc, does that mean Iâm not getting a scholarship?
@compSciLover Based on potential mail delays I wouldnât use today as a cutoff especially with how few have posted that they received the box.
I just checked my USPS daily digest. Said there was nothing under packages, but it also said that there was a piece of mail that they didnât have an image for. Unfortunately, I think that means Iâll be receiving the deferral letter later todayâŠ
I hope everyone gets their packages soon! I got mine yesterday and I am a Trustees finalist so I am very excited! Hope everyoneâs goes well. If you have any questions about the package itself let me know
where do you live? what area?
WAit I have a price of mail for which they donât have an image. Does this mean anything?
I just set up mail tracking, does it take some time for information to show up there, or I will see todayâs mail information there? Currently it shows 0 mail pieces.
@kerlykerls Please post your:
Location and which USC School/Major
@barbpz & @BeCheap4me2 I am in Los Angeles, the Hancock park area and Dornsife/East Asian Studies
@kerlykerls did you see anything in your usps tracking ? Did it show up as âwe donât have an imageâ
Iâm in NY and didnât receive a package today in my mail, but I see a package without an image on usps tracking that arrived today at the distribution center. Could this be it? I thought USC disables tracking so Iâm not too sure
@Jtuell8 @jnagra @Apple349 I also checked USPS Informed Delivery everyday this week. It said nothing, no packages, but we received âwhite boxâ in mailbox yesterday. I donât think this âwhite boxâ will appear on Informed Delivery page.
@ykim525 Are in LA area?
It will not be on USPS.
@barbpz orange County (Brea, CA 92823)
Any acceptance packages will not show up on the daily digest of USPS informed delivery. Any mail that currently does not have an image is typically a flat, a larger piece of mail than an envelope (but not a package), or a stray letter.
