I would join the crew team for USC
@CADREAMIN @WWWard thank you both for EVERYTHING. You both have so many answers and your advice has been unbelievably calming and reassuring! Way to represent the USC family. I appreciate you two so much!!
Best of luck to everyone on here! We can do this
@quantjock That is what we were predicting, but our insider (who has been totally quiet this round) said awhile back that the date they are going out is the 22nd.
So that means worlds would be colliding, new admits and scholarships would be hearing at same time - this thread will be blowing up on Friday if that is the case. Not sure why they wouldnāt send those out tonight/tomorrow ahead of the others so those people have their time and new admits have theirs. Spreads the good vibes/buzz out, so thatās what I would do (which means absolutely nothing).
@reinawrites Thanks for the kind words, it really does keep us going. I think I was more anxious about college admissions than waiting for a baby a week past the due date. Itās rough, we get it!
Good luck at work on Saturday, at least you have something to keep you busy! Wish you good news!
@reinawrites youāre welcome
My D is in a group chat with scholarship admits and just told me, one of the kids called admissions office and was told the Trustee/Presidential merit results would be on portals maybe by Friday, but latest Monday?!?!
The wait is KILLING ME!
So Iāve read mixed responses to this question so Iām going to ask it for clarity. Does tomorrow (March 21st) count as DAY 1 for the shipping? Meaning on Saturday someone like me (just South of Denver) could receive their package?
good luck to everyone! even if you donāt believe it, you will end up where you are supposed to be <3 :))))))))
@paceorama Tomorrow, March 21, is Day Zeroā¦ the day they are sent. Those in the one day zone should receive them on Friday, the 22nd, and so onā¦ But the portals also update on the 23rd at 5pm pacificā¦ so everyone will know by then.
if i live like an hour from USC would i get it tomorrow or friday?
@dancegirl28 what does the USPS website say your delivery window is? or how long does mail to L.A. usually take?
I am so excited for everyone. I know its stressful, but may you find your perfect fit, no matter where it is. Happy (I hope) decision day!
Presidential nominee here!
Yesterday morning I called admissions and they said that scholarship decisions would be out āby Fridayā or possibly Monday, and that weāll be notified by email.
I was just wondering about the delivery date since I would much prefer to receive a package than check the online portal. I might just wait until Monday!
Word is Friday 22nd for portal update which is email in portal for scholarship results. I am still hoping and would love to see the sneak attack tomorrow with them.
They arenāt going to make you wait till Monday (that would be cruel and unusual punishment), they donāt want to lose your mind share/mental investment in USC.
They often times put later days out there so they can exceed expectations. And I guarantee if you call 3 people in admissions you will often get 3 different answers concerning release dates. Proven time and time again!
REPOST:
USC will tweet/post to USC admission a picture of all the acceptance package in bins when they are ready to load the trucks - if they get out early on Thursday that will make a difference to how many get them on second day. I am thinking and hoping that because day 3 is a Sunday, they will try to get them out earlier on Thursday, say before 1:00pm. If not till 5:00pm, that will decrease second day deliveries.
You can look at the delivery timeline by using the link
https://www.usps.com/priority-mail/map/
But generally speakingā¦and just for fun since we are just waiting and waitingā¦
DAY 1
They will start blanketing Socal on Friday between 9:30am-1:00pm depending on who gets their mail early. Always love that first verified post! LA area should be covered. Then things start rocking around here (I think I sounded old there). Much of Socal receives the first day, but often times San Diego doesnāt get theirs until second day so donāt freak out there. Sometimes pockets of Irvine or Anaheim will be day two, but hope is they get them out earlier enough on Thursday the Socal is well covered on Friday.
DAY 2 & 3
Norcal, Arizona, and a lot of the Midwest will be Saturday as will many many areas of the country including a large amount of the Midwest, east coast and FLA. Bay Area and Sacramento region will be day 2, more remote areas of Norcal day 3. Philadelphia and Chicago should be day 2. The surprise is how fast these things move and how they reach a great part of the country all on the second day, but a couple major metros are skipped till day 3 - namely Seattle and Denver. Hopefully they get there faster this year! What is odd (and typical) is one neighborhood in NYC will get them, but someone a few blocks may need till day 3 or 4. So the majority around the country will receive them Saturday, but that said, there are plenty of folks that donāt get them and will find out with the the portal update that evening at 5:00pm. EST.
Internationals - DHL some will get them early as they likely already boarded the jet, but regardless, most all will rely on portal update.
So glad they have come to their senses and made portal update earlier, and posted the time. Was always a guessing game - that was too stressful!
I will post this again and again - when you receive a package and & post PLEASE include:
Accepted!! Got it/Got in - (whatever and screaming capitals welcomed)
AND PLEASE PLEASE INCLUDE LOCATION - INCLUDING TOWN (Dallas Texas versus just Texas)
and major is a nice touch.
That is super helpful to all the anxious applicants waiting and wondering.
@WWWard @CADREAMIN THANK YOU
Iām in San Diego and Iām really hoping my package comes in on Friday because I leave Friday night for a week long vacation!! Not sure how I am going to handle that because I would much rather receive a package than find out on my portal.
