USC Class of 2025 — Regular Decision

TO = Test Optional

Does anyone know if USC traditionally waitlists people?

No, but with Spring admit.
you can live on campus(USC) and take CC at Santa Monica for example

K, so when they respond to students’ applications, the answers will be accepted, rejected, or deferred until spring? What happens if not everyone who is accepted opts to go to USC? Do they reach out to additional applicants who were rejected/deferred already?

There are 3 possible decisions: fall admit, spring admit, or rejection. Technically, there is no waitlist. If spots open at USC because admitted students decide to go elsewhere, they offer fall admission to those who were initially offered spring admission.

wow thats a super high TO rate

A 4th decision option could also be the mysterious “rejection + TTP” (Trojan Transfer Plan)

@lemonlulu You do not get on campus housing in the fall if you are a spring admit. You would need to find off campus housing during that semester if u want to be around USC before starting as a spring admit.

Maybe I was wrong, I got the info from a group of USC students on YouTube

Ya you’re right. I just didn’t include it in my comment because it’s still a flat out rejection.

did they say anything regarding international applicants?

Can Spring admitted students take regular classes at USC while living off-campus?

No but they can take courses at a community college that will transfer.

For those offered TTP with the rejection, here is info on the Trojan Transfer Plan, will bump the thread again closer to decision day as there are always questions about this.

how do you check the status of your application?

http://applyto.usc.edu/apply/status

Wow. Does that mean 60 percent of accepted students will be TO? My daughter submitted scores.

My daughter received that same email on March 1. Maybe it was sent on different days for different degree programs/colleges? The email went to her updates folder in gmail…

Not necessarily. It said 60 percent of applicants apparently. Accepted could be more, less, or same.
