how will coming from a small high school affect my chances of admission
Did anyone receive a message on March 14 stating they did a preliminary review of my application and want additional information mid year ?
It certainly seemed to be during scholarship round.
Does everyone’s portal say “undergraduate” now, or does some people’s portals still say “unknown”

No, they don’t waitlist.

In your USC FAST portal
They do offer spring semester acceptances. Some think of that as a sorta waitlist. But no real waitlist in traditional sense.

Here is the events list! It’s under the “Virtual Programs” (which then has an Admitted button at the top) portion of the portal.
