USC Class of 2027 — Regular & Early Action Decisions

Thank you! The two boys went to different high schools so it’s not fair to compare GPA but the older one definitely had better test score. USC has been great for the older one. We would be happy to have the second one there.

Deferred. Marshall
Out of state: 3.9 UW, Superscore ACT - 31
Incredible ECs. First gen.
Surprised to see her considered in the regular pool. Not pursuing.
Committed to local university.
Good Luck!!

Congrats! Enjoy WBB – its a very cool program ! Initially, we were also going to apply to WBB but decided not to apply to it given covid19 and also keen interest in Finance (Investment Banking).

Those are great stats… if you are from Texas, did she apply to Canfield BHP at UT?

Your daughter is currently a National Merit Semi-Finalist (NMSF). If she has not received a rejection letter from National Merit, she will likely be a finalist.

National Merit Finalist scholarships at USC are not awarded during the merit round. They will be applied to your student’s account IF she gets accepted AND she notifies NMSC that USC is her first choice. She has until May 31 to do this. BUT… This is important. If she is accepted and she has not listed USC as her first choice with NMSC, you will not see the scholarship in her FAST portal. Once she notifies NMSC that USC is her first choice, it will take 2-4 weeks for USC to update her FAST portal with the scholarship.

My son applied EA and was deferred. Does this automatically take him out of Merit Scholarship contention? in other words, if he is admitted in RD is he still eligible for a Merit scholarship?
