post if you have a decision from USC with your stats and major

for those of you waiting on a final grade:

I just spoke with the senior assistant director of the admissions office, I told her that it would be possible for me to get her the grade of my required class early if it would speed up the admission decision. She told me she recommended just waiting to send all of my semester grades at once, and they would indeed have to wait to see my grade in the required class before making a decision. She said once she had my final grades she should get me a decision within 2 weeks after.

they didn't ask me to send anything......

I hope we get in.. otherwise UCSD here i come.

hobofromdowntown looks like we are in the same boat if i dont get into USC im going to SD as well.. Lets keep this thread going by coutning down the days of may untill we hear

<1st day>

oh i still have ucla but i consider myself rejected from there as well. :( c'mon USC!!!

P superman, did they send you a request for spring grades already?

Im in the same boat as well. I called the Marshall and the main admissions office. I am getting really mixed responses. Some people told me that I will get a decision by June 1st, and then I send in the grades afterwards, and some have told me that I will get an acceptance or a request for spring grades by the 1st. I dont know what to do? If I dont get into USC, I'm going to UCSD or UCSB.

My second major was Econ, does anyone know if you don't get into Business, is your app automatically sent to your second choice?

IM FREAKING OUT! I WANT INTO USC!

wow, looks like we're all in the same boat, if i get rejected i will be going to UCSD also. What she implied on the phone was that she was the one that forwarded the app to Marshall, so basicly i think first she (i'm saying she, but really the admissions people) has to decide you're worthy and then she sends it to Marshall for a decision. What i think she means is for her to send your app to Marshall for review, she would first have to have your required grades.

I haven't gotten anything about spring grades, have you?

nope, no requests for spring grades either...

Is there a way to see if your app has been forwarded to Marshall, or to another dept.?

Yes you can call Marshall and ask them if they have received your aplication from the undergrad department. The people at usc are very helpfull and nice. And when i called Marshall they had my application and said they would be making there decisions in the next two weeks and that they may request my spring grades soon. For all you people who applied to marshall whats your stats if you mind sharing

mine are
4.0 gpa
62 units
Some Ec and work experience

I really hope i get in

3.55 gpa

101 quarter units

little e.c's

im praying to get in..

adhdmohit, did you get into haas or biz econ for ucla?

Yea ok so haas i got denied and ucla i got denied because i was missing a calc class :( i feel like **** because it is my fault i looked over the pre req for econ at ucla and thought only 1 calc class was necessary. Anyways i would of picked usc over both hass and ucla cause usc is a schoool that i have dreamt of going to since i was a kid. But on a good note i received the UC regent scholarship at UCSB giving $12000 for two years, guranteed housing and alot of other perks, but i think if i don't get into usc i will head to UCSD because i don't like SB.

hopefully i will be trojan. Fight On!

3.76 GPA

all preqs done for Marshall, a few ECs tarnished school history though.

i took business calc and i think that screwed me as far as UCLA

oh god.. i'm so not getting in... wat schools do you guys go to?

yea i took business calc as well and thats what screwed me also

i go to Fullerton college

Im at Irvine Valley College.

i should've applied to Berkeley as an environmental econ major, my g/f got in to UCB as a theater major with a 3.65, i should've applied as a different major and then switch, instead i just didnt apply

i go to ucr.. i should've backdoored it too. my friend that also goes to ucr and has the same gpa as me applied as a sociology major after taking one sociology class (he was a business major at R) and got into cal...

a guy i know did the same thing at USC, applied as a poli sci major and then changed major and went to marshall, i wish he would've told me before i applied
