Hi!

I was recently admitted to USC. I was wondering if it was possible to double major where the two majors are from different schools, i.e. the liberal arts school and the communication school.

Can I do this as a freshman or is there a waiting period? Are there any restrictions? Do I have to apply to the school to take classes there or have a major there? What should I expect?

If you could answer this, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you so much. Feel free to let me know answers to questions I haven't asked.

Thanks!

Yes, you can double-major in two different schools - USC strongly encourages students to double-major or major/minor in widely disparate fields and even has special recognition at graduation for those who do. It is called the [USC Renaissance Scholars](http://www.usc.edu/programs/ugprograms/renaissance/) program, and there are also awards for graduate school for some Renaissance scholars.

There are varying procedures for declaring majors depending on the program, and some will require and application. Investigate the website for more information [University of Southern California](http://www.usc.edu/) .
