USC E-mail

So, I received my USC e-mail, and I was just wondering if we were allowed to change it? The last letter of my last name is cut off in both my username and e-mail, haha.

I googled this and found an old thread on here:
<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/500069-can-you-change-your-usc-email.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/500069-can-you-change-your-usc-email.html</a></p>

^ It says you can use firstname.lastname@usc.edu for all e-mail purposes instead; has anyone done that before?

Thanks to anyone who can help! :)

the first-name-dot-last-name is an automatic alternative. It doesn’t change it. If you look at your email under the “options” tab, it should already be there.

^ Oh, I see it there under “options.” Thanks!

i don’t know if usc does it automatically but never use the regular usc email. it’s terrible with a 75mb limit. use the usc google email. you can find it at google.usc.edu and click “don’t have an account? sign up here” and register with your USC username and password.

^ Agreed. Or if you have an existing Gmail account, just forward all your USC mail to your current Gmail account. Makes things a lot easier!

when do we get our emails? I havent gotten anything lol

^ You have to sign up for it yourself using ITS.

LOL how ignorant of me

You can export the regular USC email to IMAP, though.
