Is a 3.64 gpa going to do me in. I got an A in every single class except my writing class where i got a B-. I'm starting to get discouraged.

oh, do you have +/- grading trojans14?

yes i do have +/-. does USC not have one?

is anyone apart of the USC transfer plan

i've never heard of the "USC transfer plan" :P

transfer plan?

Here's my stats
Long Beach ****ty College
3.54 GPA
Asian

First in family to go to college
31 units
applying for College of letters and arts- sociology and political science as 2nd choice

-upward trend in grades.
-prom king in high school lol...
-couple church EC's
-I work at trader joe's... lol...

I heard it's easy/easier to get in letter and arts also...lol
What's my chances... ahhaha

On USC's website it says to submit CSS and FAFSA by Jan 22, 2008 or ASAP. So would it hurt me if I sent them in after Jan 22.

It wouldn't hurt your admissions, but that is the priority deadline for financial aid. First come, first serve! Plus, the CSS is due March 2nd or 3rd and comes out a bit later as well.

dang. 3.54 gpa. applying for letters and arts sociology as first and political science as second...good chance...?

I heard it's easier to get in the CL and S, and then I can find my way to another major from there...

It's not that easy to switch majors. Some you must be admitted directly to the program or wait a semester for extra requirements etc.,

D has a 4.066 in the Honors program at University of New Mexico her first semester. She is worried that despite the high GPA, USC would frown upon the school she is coming FROM, and not view the GPA as that great even though she worked her butt off to get that GPA. Any opinions? She's applying to Annenberg.

Dose USC accept midterm progress reports to send before the semester ends?????

sunshadow: No point in worrying about that now. If she's taken a rigorous course load and done well, then that's the best possible situation to be in.

queen10: I don't believe they officially ask for anything, but you can always try and send it. I would recommend getting the report signed by the professors, too.

Best of luck :)

Note:Some applicants will get a request for spring grades. :P

Everyone done with their applications yet?

Is it bad that I'm still in the process of filling out my applications?

I'm still working on it [essay]. Pfft. But the recs and transcripts and extras are good to go.

BigBucksT- i was in your position last year. i turned in my app on the last possible day and was accepted, albeit in july. just hang in there everybody, but i hate to say that it will be a long summer for most of you. good luck and fight on!

i'm sure this has been said before but I don't have time to read all 23 pages of this thread.

Do you need recommendations as a USC transfer?
