Awesome! Otherwise, I probably wouldn't go to USC if I did not get into my 1st major choice (music industry). If I only got into my 2nd major (philosophy) and I got into either UCB or UCLA, I'd go to to them, but this way I have more options at USC if I later decide I'd rather major in something other than philosophy.

Very paranoid first time poster. Be honest you guys, these are my stats,,,
Transferable GPA: 3.97
Units: 66 by the end of spring/53 by application deadline
GE's: finished
Pre-Req: I'm a Communications major so I pretty much just need Stats
EC: Clubs & volunteer work, Dean's list, honor societies etc.,
Work: financial services w/my parents
Legacy: 1st in family to go to college
Applying to: Annenberg
2nd major: Public Relations, also under Annenberg
current school: Los Angeles City College

p.s. i'm a bit confused with the whole "USC looks at the school you come from", well, LACC is no Santa Monica College or Pasadena City let me tell you. Should I worry about it?

Juana, like you dont know that you are a perfect applicant

-im just worried bc the e.c.'s are all recent, as in this semester (!) and i have no leadership positions and annenberg wants it XP. i know the basics are covered but its the extra stuff that i worry about. like will admission feel 1. i didnt know what i was doing and am now trying to squeeze it all in?

that what i did do [bc i was going to apply as a production major but found out it's ery difficult to get in] that my volunteer work has nothing to do with my current career plans? thx for ur response btw!

they don't really investigate ur ECs do they,
just give tweaks here and there and alls good >_>

thx. "tweaks", lol.

if u did it for the past 6 months say u did it for a year >_>
to be honest i m not sure how serious m i about saying this

but er... do they check? >_> i know UCs can really "spy" on u but i have no clue about SC

anyone has any clue about USC intel?
considering their alumni it must be a pretty broad network of intel xD

uc's---> really? i'd think they'd be more lax about it. they have so many more applicants overall

Q: How many of you filled out the October 15th part 1 Application?

I submitted mine a couple of nights ago. (:

Yeah it's pretty basic but I figured if I wait it out and submit the whole thing together, USC will see a slightly higher GPA after this semester is over.

Good/Bad idea? :P

I would assume that it wouldn't matter because they will see the new grades before they make a decision.

Well they do admit some people in without even requesting Spring grades. ((sigh)) let me be one of those people! lol, otherwise I'll have to accept a backup school and then switch to accept USC. If they ask for spring grades, their final decision will probably come in July. :P

Hopefully they dont ask for my spring grade!

i know. i'd like to think we have grades good enough to get in right away and get an answer quickly? hehe :D

Sorry not to have replied to some messages back on page 9 for awhile, but I've been out of the country (in England and Wales) for my work for the last couple of weeks.

As far as what I posted, "3454 applicants per year, 944 accepted", that number is wrong, since I used the wrong CDS website.

Please excuse my error.

The Collegeboard numbers are correct.

Wow, I can't believe im applying to transfer again lol

laguna- have you applied to USC before?
