USC Global Conference in Hong Kong Sold Out

<p>Global challenges and enhancing opportunities will be discussed at the USC Global Conference in Hong Kong Oct. 13th - 15th 2011. The conference site is the Hong Kong Marriott. Welcome remarks will be by USC President, Dr. Max Nikias. The keynote address will be by Thomas L. Friedman.</p>

<p>Some of the conference sponsors are Credit Suisse, Ronnie Chan, Korean Air Lines, TCC Steel, Wing Hang Bank, Quam, Dynamic Network Alliances and David Harilda Group.</p>

<p>Welcomed at the USC Global Conference was new Board of Trustees member, Chengyu Fu.
He is the Chairman of SINOPEC. Fu led the recent $17.6 billion dollars of acquisitions for his company.</p>

<p>At the close of the conference USC Provost, Elizabeth Garrett, spoke of new offices in Shanghai and Beijing. An office in Sao Paulo will be established later.</p>

<p>A new international arts fellowship will be offered in 2013 in fine arts, theatre, cinema, music and architecture.</p>
