Usc Gpa Calculation

I was wondering how USC (southern California) calculates the freshman gpa. Is it freshman through senior? Sophomore and junior like UC's? Do they use a weighted (5 point) scale? Please let me know how they do this. I could not find this anywhere else online.

They were pretty vague about this when I visited recently. They look at all four years, unweighted, with a nod towards any upward trends or unusual situations. They take the rigor of your schedule into consideration but did not specifically say how they would do so. If they have a set formula (and they must) they are not sharing it with applicants (or their parents). Good Luck.

My recollection is that a couple of years ago for admissions USC calculated HS gpa by including grades 9-11, and weighted AP and IB - but not honors - classes with one point (A=5, etc.)
