USC Honors Class of 2023 Thread

Figured I might start it up.

I have a ~4.1 W on their scale (4 AP/IB, 3 Honors, 4 advanced, and full DE senior year out of 22 courses. All A’s and B’s). 34 ACT and committed EC’s. Really hoping for at least full OOS tuition reduction despite my low GPA.

I have a 4.0 unweighted, 33 ACT (34 superscore), AP Human Geo, World History, Bio, Chem, US History, Statistics, English Language, English Lit, Gov, and Econ. I have lots of ECs (orchestra, HOSA, stuco, nhs, nths) and have started my own charity. I am hoping for a top scholars award but I know it is very competitive.

What did you do for the two supps? I’m lost.

I have a 3.795 unweighted and a 4.282 weighted GPA with a 33 ACT and a superscore of 34. My first supplement was about my dreams of being a journalist and how I have thrived while being a part of my school newspaper, and my second was about how school shootings have desensitized our society to violence. I have 8 APs (US History (5), US Government (5), Spanish Language (4), English Language (4), Environmental Science, Statistics, Psychology, Spanish Literature). My ECs include 9 years of theatre, choir, voice lessons, school newspaper (I was the business manager and on the editorial board), mock trial (on the A team as a witness), Girl Up (PR officer), Spanish Club, Spanish NHS, and Young Life. I’ve seen one of my recommendations, and I thought it was really good.

my supplements were about my uncertain dreams and the unabomber’s manifesto (srs). risky but id love alumni scholars. good luck dude

Just a note for everyone, USC does not superscore the ACT, they only take the highest composite score. But, everyone looks like great candidates for the Honor’s College. My oldest is currently a senior in the Honor’s College and has thoroughly loved every moment of her time at USC. She is currently deeply involved with her thesis and will graduate in May from Darla Moore, with double majors in Accounting and Finance. She is also on an accelerated MACC track and will graduate with her Master’s in Accounting just one semester later. Being in the Honor’s College has made her big school experience much more intimate and the education she has received has been top notch. Good Luck!!
