USC housing

Anybody that goes to USC... any suggestions on best dorms or apartments for freshman?

Try checking out the USC section on this website to read threads about housing.

I would definitely not recommend an apartment for freshmen, unless you want more independence and less of the dorm, college life. For me, personally, I think New/North are the best for freshmen, but everyone is different.

If you want the most modern, nice accomodations, Parkside would be best, plus it has the best food. They are suite-style. If you want the most social dorms, New/North would be the choice. If you want a social dorm, but not one overly so, I would recommend Birnkrant.

Apartments for freshmen are limited to Century and Cardinal Gardens. I have to say I don't know which is better.

Anymore questions, feel free to ask!

ok, thanks so much! i was just wondering though, isn't parkside for international students? and what about flour tower?

It's called Parkside International, and it does have a large international student population, I believe, but it's available to all freshmen. Flour Tower is suites also. I don't know how social they are since they aren't dorm style, but they're pretty nice. They aren't near all the other freshmen housing (except for Webb Tower, which is for all students), but it's still right by a good eating area and the gym, and it isn't nearly as isolated as Parkside.

New / North is def the best dorms possible for any USC freshmen. Once you're in New North freshmen year you are an elite member of the new/north alum for life

new/north is the best and most social.
