USC ID Number

Hey! For everyone going through the college match program for USC, do you already have your USC ID number? I know some people already received it via mail if they were already on USC's mailing list, but alas, my interest in USC only sprung from a college visit at my high school the day before our rankings were due (applying wasn't even an option earlier since my sister currently attends UCLA but eh) and I'd never bothered to join the mailing list earlier, and doing so now would just feel silly.

Anyhow, for the 2012-2013 Parent Income & Expense Declaration in the Financial Documents forms that we need to send by November 1st, it asks for the ID number. I've looked through their Undergraduate Admissions FAQ, but it doesn't mention it. Their Graduate Admissions FAQ does mention that they email applicants the number after they turn in their application, but a) I'm not applying to a graduate program and b) QuestBridge applicants don't even turn in a Common App to USC, just the supplement.

So, TL;DR, I was just wondering what everyone else was doing about this. Should I just fax my financial documents without the USC ID number? Should I just pen in my SSN instead? Should I e-mail or phone their admissions office directly? Thank you!

Contact them directly. Yale also requires their ID number, however, they also say if you sent it in without that info, no problem. You should get your number very soon I would think.

Ah, do I feel silly. On their “contact us” page, there is actually a drop-down list with the option of “I need my USC ID number.” Color me embarrassed. ;;; Thank you so much! I probably would have chickened out on checking for their e-mail had I not had a little prompting.

Luckily, I already received my email from Yale with the ID number; all finalists did, I believe. (: Gonna get those faxed out today, I hope.

On a related note, I accidentally submitted the common app to USC, when they only ask for the supplement. It just slipped my mind and I pressed submit. Anything I can do now? Call?

@wyvurdon - After going to their “Contact Us” page, you just click on the dropdown list for “USC Office of Admission” and press the link for “send e-mail,” which brings you to this page:
[Contact Us - USC Undergraduate Admission](http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/contact/contactus.html)

It might be too late now, though, since it takes anywhere from one to five business days for them to reply back. :C I found mine by looking through my old e-mails though! Around February earlier this year, USC should have sent you a single e-mail with your ID in it. (Apparently, I was on their initial mailing list. Weird.)

thanks itsonmars! apparently, my college counselor said it was ok to leave it blank so i did =p I hope it doesn’t cause problems >.<
