USC Keck Welcomes New Faculty

<p>An earlier post noted the addition of Dr. Stephen Gruber as Director of USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center.</p>

<p>Two other scholars have joined Keck in different fields. </p>

<p>Dr. Eric Chang
M.D. Harvard School of Medicine
Additional post-graduate training in gamma knife utilization in Sweden and a the Cleveland Clinic.
Comes to Keck from Univ. of Texas Anderson Cancer Center where he had been Professor of Radiation Oncology and Director of the Central Nervous System Stereotactic Radiation Program.</p>

<p>At SC he will chair the Dept. of Radiation Oncology and will act as Chief of Radiation Oncology at the USC Norris Cancer Hospital.</p>

<p>Dr. Chang is a recognized authority in radiotherapeutic evaluation and management of patients. At Anderson he established the first stereotactic spine radiosurgery program.</p>

<p>He has authored or co-authored more than 150 peer reviewed papers, seven invited articles and 17 book chapters.</p>

<p>Dr. Sofia Gruskin
J. D. Benjamin Cardozo School of Law
M.S. from Columbia University in International Affairs with specialization in Public Health and Human Rights
Comes to USC from the Harvard School of Public Health where she was a professor and Director of the Program on International Health and Human Rights
At SC she has a joint appointment at the USC Institute for Global Health and the USC Gould School of Law. She will lead the Program on Global Health and Human Rights at SC.</p>

<p>Her research will focus on identifying and addressing legal, policy and systemic barriers that impede accesss to public health services.</p>
