USC M.A. Education?

I finished college at Univ. of Miami last spring with a 3.1 with a:
(over 3.5 gpa in Business Management)

Bachelor of Business Administration
-Marketing and Business Management (with Entrepreneurship electives) dual-concentration
-Business Law Minor

I have 3 Ws (2 from 300 level accounting courses and 1 from International Finance) when I explored majoring in Accounting and/or Finance.

I worked as a teller for Citibank, but was laid off. (not that it was my dream job)

I am interested in becoming a College Counselor/Academic Advisor or a high school guidance counselor. I am looking into the Master of Education, Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs (ME PASA) at USC.

Is this a good program for me to meet my goals?
Is the alumni network worth attending USC for the high tuition?
How difficult is admission?
Do students enter this program with related work experience?

What other schools offer well regarded programs, especially if I want to work on the west coast?

Just in case, would USC (or which other degrees) would be reputable to work in Hawaii, Arizona, Florida, or NYC/NY/NJ?

No opinion about CA programs, but NOVA (ft Lauderdale) has 2 tracks for college deans (counseling, advising). At least, check it out

You will want to look at Education MA programs that offer a counseling track.

USC is obviously an excellent school. The people in the departments are usually more than happy to answer questions. You should give them a call, they would be able to help you figure out if you career goals match their program.
The alumni network is very helpful, but it all depends on how you choose to use it.
