I love USC. They have four different programs I'm interested in, and all are in different colleges! Now, the question is, what do I pick as my first-choice major?!

Most of the programs have additional supplement requirements, but I'm not totally sure which I want to do.

Open (still deciding) seems to be the best option, but how does that look to admissions? Would that be weaker because I won't need to send in any of the additional work?

it won’t make your application for admission to USC weaker, but you won’t be admitted to any of the specific programs if you do not apply to them.

You can certainly apply once you are admitted undecided. It may take longer to complete your major/minor if you wait to be admitted to a specific program. Many students do go in with an undeclared major.

"Many students do go in with an undeclared major. "

Exactly, there are many students who are undecided. If you are undecided, then you are undecided - that’s okay.

There are certain specific academic programs at USC that are highly competitive, have just a few slots, require four years of study and require additional application materials. An undecided student can still get admitted to USC and even register for a course in one of those disciplines.
