I'm a junior transfer from a CCC and have been accepted both USC Marshall & UC Berkeley's College of Letters and Science as an Econ major. My dilemma is that I have to pick between the two. I may want to do finance, maybe even investment banking, and I've always been interested in the business aspect of the entertainment industry. So, overall, which is better, USC Marshall or Berkeley as an Econ major.

If you want entertainment industry biz connections, USC will serve you well.

Berkeley is a more intellectual, college town environment. Of course, I’m biased. I know both places well.

I say college is an experience…a chance to explore and do new things. If you live in SoCal, spread your wings and go to Berkeley. Likewise, vice versa if from NorCal - choose USC.

The majority of undergrads at Cal are Asians so USC is far more diverse, IF that is an issue with you. Otherwise, toss a coin as either choice is a good one.
