anyone know?

3.7-3.8 Gpa

wow it lies in the average USC GPA transfer overall because the average gpa for USC in general is 3.7-8 too? I'm pretty sure its higher?

I don't think the average for USC transfers is 3.8.

The average transfer for USC is 3.5, that number was given to me from an admissions counselor

Last year's transfer GPA jumped to 3.7 And that's from the 2008-2009 Transfer to USC brochure.

r u guys talking 3.7 for whole school? or for marshall?

Whole school. For Marshall "competitive" is 3.8, I hear, though 4.0s have been rejected in the past as well. :/

Wow I had no clue USC was so competitive.

Average was a 3.5 just from last year.

oh. i m in borderline.... hope i can in becoz it's my first choice

hold on.... USC Marshall website says if u have a GPA of 3.6 and all pre-req completed....then ur a competitive applicant....

READ last year's thread. That wouldn't make sense if the average of ACCEPTED student across the university is 3.7 now.

"I hear, though 4.0s have been rejected in the past as well. :/"

Well that's kind of depressing.

USC over the past several years is getting more competitive. The Flutie effect - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia anyone?

gotta say the dude is right
sigh...
just makes it that much harder

I am gonna apply to USC too! For Business though... I am currently a freshman at UCR - University of California Riverside.. I am getting a 3.91 this quarter, but only got a 1960 on my SAT..and i have a very low high school GPA..can i get in?

I would say no, if your GPA is as low as I'm thinking...One quarter of college work means relatively little in the grand scheme of things...As WomanofTroy has pointed out, USC is just becoming more and more competitive year by year for transfers. Last year there were several very qualified applicants on this forum who were denied admission

Hey, i am currently studying for a final I have in two days and got distracted and started browsing around. I signed up just to say do not let others discourage you. Anything is possible. I transferred from UCR with a 3.59 GPA after two years (I AM A THIRD YEAR NOW) and I am currently in the Marshall School of Business. So all I have to say is keep working hard I do not even think your high school GPA matters that much. I had a 3.12 in high school because i never cared. Keep working hard! P.S. it is way better here at usc ! Fight on!

hey everyone,

I am a student planning to apply to usc, transferring from Drexel university with 3.5 GPA from 2 quarters also I am trying hard to raise it until I get to somewhere around 3.8.

Do you think I would have a good chance to get accepted for 2012??
