I'm currently a junior in high school, and I'm trying to create a list of potential schools I want to apply to. From what I heard about USC, I love it. I'm visiting over the summer or in the fall, and I'm really excited. It only came up on my search because I really what to major in Computational and Applied Mathematics and it's one of the few schools that offer it. That being said, if people familiar with USC can help me answer some questions just so I know what I'm getting into, I will be extremely grateful.

How is the math department at USC? Are the professors good? (preferably a math major)

How helpful are the advisers at the school, especially for people undecided about career paths?

I know USC is rumored to be a huge party school, but is one of those "work hard play hard" kind of things, or do the students just really don't care?

I can't remember the other questions I had at the moment, but for now this is it. I would greatly appreciate the help. The first question is the most important one, and please provide as much insight as possible. Thank you. :)
