Do presidential and trustee kids get priority for McCarthy? I got a Jewish Leadership merit scholarship so I am eligible for housing there, but do I have a chance of actually getting placed there?
Anyone?
Trustee gets preference over Presidential which gets preference over Deans. I’m not sure what type of priority the Jewish Leadership scholarship receives.

Sorry, not sure where you heard that award qualifies you for McCarthy, but there is no priority for that as it is not an honors award, nor are the many other organizational/departmental awards. McCarthy is not for all award/merit recipients. tbh, your chance of being placed there unless a Trustee, Pres or Dean’s is not likely (and Dean’s only get it if space from Trustee and Pres (which includes NMF admits).
There’s a lot of great housing options where you are with lots of freshman. Just decide if you want a suite or standard dorm and go from there. Good luck!
