Thanks!

Match for USC (don’t know much about others but I don’t think any is other of your reach)

Thanks uclaparent9, hopefully I can get some umich info. But regardless, USC is my #1 far and away

Shameless Promotion #Bump

With the exception of Notre Dame (because I don’t know much about it), I feel as though you are underwhelming yourself; all these colleges should either safeties or matches/low matches for you. I would recommend looking into a few more prestigious colleges (maybe not the Ivy tier, but a tier or two below) if you’re confident you’ll be able to pay for them.

All choices seem like matches/low match to me. You might get deferred at UMich EA though because even the strongest applicants got deferred last year just because of the sheer volume and OOS. Most likely accepted ea though.

So, Insuperble and byarry, like what. The ivies are a no for me, mostly because I hate the feeling of entitlement that some of the students have it pisses me off. Some of that exists at USC but I love everything else about it, so that’s why it’s my #1. Should I try UVa, UPenn, Princeton, Stanford, Tufts?

Buuuuuuuump

Are you applying to CoE or LSA (or another school) at Michigan and/or preferred admission to Ross? CoE is much more difficult to be admitted too and Ross more so.

Regarding your post #8: You can make it to UVa and Tufts but not to UPenn, Princeton and Stanford.

TooOld4School I am applying for preferred admission to Ross at UM. And thanks UCLAParent9

Your really downgrading yourself here. You’ll definitely match, try and look at some more prestigious schools. Try NYU or maybe John Hopkins. Good Luck

You have really great GPA and a lot of APs and EC’s. You should really try to reach a bit more, as all the ones on your list are very, very easily within reach. Chance me back (shameless desperation)?

Bump

Wait, you prefer Marshall over Ross? Also, maybe you’re a shoo-in for UMich LSA, but Ross preferred admission is very different–acceptance rate of about 10%.

Yes, I prefer Marshall over Ross because I would rather live out west in Cali then in the Midwest.

Honestly, given your pretty incredible academic credentials and a great list of extracurricular activities, I think that you will get into all of those colleges. If you want to add a couple of riskier schools, that would be good also (especially with that ACT score damn!)

You’ll definitely get into USC.
Umich is tricky, but it’s a match for you.
Not sure about the schools you mentioned in #8. You do know that those schools don’t superscore ACT right? And 32 is at their lower 50% range.
You should give Notre Dame a shot tho. It’s my dream school and I know that they weigh essays and ECs more than test scores. You’ll have a good chance!
