USC no aid vs UCI

I got into the Spring admissions for USC with no financial aid, but for UCI I got 15k worth of aid, leaving the cost to be around 15k. If I want to go into international business (if UCI, I would double major in international studies and business), which would be the better choice?

60k a year for USC is too much for my parents to handle, so I would have to try to cover the whole thing in loans, or at least 40k of it, but I would prefer USC to all the other choices.

Opinions? Go with my dream school but be in debt for eternity or suck it up and go to UCI?

Are your parents covering the other $15,000? If you are loaning $15,000 per year for 4 years, that is still bad. You should consider a cheaper option.

Someone who is going into business shouldn’t even need to ask whether it is smart to take on $160,000 in student loan debt.

USC should not even be a consideration in the scenario you describe. In any case, as a student you will not be able to secure $40,000/year in loans, so that is not a realistic option.

Applause!!!

BTW…YOU can’t borrow that much without a co-signer …and if your parents are smart, they wouldn’t agree to do so, anyway.
