The only place I have seen the ranking you cite is on the VCUarts website. To my knowledge, USNWR does not rank undergraduate fine arts programs. Would love to see a direct link to USNWR showing the ranking you cite.
Qualification at bottom of page on VCUarts website listing rankings:
“The rankings come from U.S. News & World Report’s evaluation of GRADUATE (emphasis added) school programs, 2017.”
Further:
“Specifically in the department, the GRADUATE (emphasis added) Photography program is ranked 13th overall in both public and private universities.”
Google just doesn’t seem to want to cough up that 4th place ranking…Surprise!
as previously stated and now in fact proven again, there is one obtuse lady poster that time and time again simply provides misinformation regarding VCUARTS as US. News & World Report ranked VCU School of the Arts 4th among public programs for photography and film , it is deserving of consideration entirely. Also happens to be the #2 ranked overall in the entire country for MFA behind only Yale! Can not wait to see all the great exhibitors at this years NY Art Book Fair ,see you all there .
Constantly reposting does not suddenly render anything you say true or accurate. Where are the direct links to USNWR? Why do you think the MFA rankings never went past 2016/2017? Because they are riddled with statistical holes and flawed metrics, and no one took them seriously! The OP is interested in more than art. Continuing to ignore this in favor of promoting a fine undergraduate art program linked to a below average general academic program does a disservice both to this OP as well as to the purposes of CC as a whole.
