USC or BC ?

I've been accepted to University of Southern Cal. and Boston University. I'm also on the waitlist for Washington University in St. Louis and Boston College.

But honestly, I highly doubt that WUSTL would accept me; so I’m not really considering that, however I'm slightly more confident with Boston College.

I'm planning on studying International Relations.

I really don’t quite know which university I should consider. Most likely, I’d be heading to USC, but I’m still not quite sure. Any advice?

location wise, i would say USC if you don't live in california

if i were coming from someone else in the nation, i would much rather be in cali than boston (weather point of view)

USC has a very solid IR department.

at USC. I will be majoring in international relations. It has one of the better if not one of the best IR departments in the nation. It's, after all, in Los Angeles.

What's unique about USC IR is that although it may not be as strong overall as say, other powerhouses like Georgetown, there's arguably no place better to study IR that's focused on the Pacific Rim and Asia. USC also has one of the leading scholars, if not THE leading scholar, on Africa-related IR in Gerald Bender.

I remember back in February, President Bush appointed a triple USC-IR alumnus to Assistant to the President and Deputy Nat'l Security Advisor: http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2005/01/20050131-4.html

Thanks for your replies.

As you know its exam season now, and the schedule has been pretty tight. I'm wonder if I should even bother contacting those waitlisted schools to up my chances of acceptance...or just go to USC instead.
