I am trying to decide between Georgetown and USC. I got the Trustee Scholarship at USC (full tuition), and though I got good financial aid at Georgetown, it's not as much, plus with travel costs (I'm from the Bay area) it would be more. I'm in at Georgetown's School of Foreign Service, which is exactly what I want to do, so Georgetown would be the best for international relations obviously. I love California though and it would be hard to leave. (No one I know is in DC). Any advice?

My son was in the same situation. He had also won the trustee at USC and was accepted to Gtown, but not much in aid at Gtown. Then we recvd the Harvard finaid pkg and it was even better than USC's (even with full tuition). My son has decided on Harvard. Best of luck. My son would have picked USC if Harvard had not offered such a great pkg.

^That is fantastic news. Who could resist Harvard?

Thanks columbia! He's very happy with his decision, but USC is an amazing school. Best of luck to anyone going there next year.

usc is good at international relations (which seems to be similar to waht you want to do)
but if g town has a school specifically designed for it...
and i would have to put g town as one of the best for ir-related fields
and sounds like a perfect fit for that school you're looking at...

if finances arent an issue than i may have to suggest g town

thanks. At this point I'm thinking Georgetown but I still havent decided for sure.

Can you visit both schools before May 1 to closely compare both programs?
