I have a b.s.b.a from Chapman University where I got very average grades. I was wondering with a very good GMAT score if I could get into a USC or Pepperdine full time mba evening program?

They're both private schools and I'd be applying to their satellite schools.

Is it possible to get accepted to either with average grades? Should I retake courses at a local junior college to bump my GPA?

I haven't really calculated it out in a long time but I'd guess 2.6-2.8

If I had to I'd retake some courses at the local junior college to improve it. I'm fairly confident I can score high on the GMAT because I have a gifted IQ and plan to study for a year. I have about 4 years of work experience and I know someone who is a major, major contributer to USC that plans to call on my behalf(not sure if that would do anything).

I'm only 26 and plan to do whatever it takes to get into a good MBA program here in Orange County. What do you think?

There's no difference by applying to the Irvine satellite classes evening program at USC? and is there any weight in having a contributer call the dean of admissions on my behalf?

USC is really where I want to go. I mean is there any GMAT score I could get that would impress them to look beyond my grades?

A great GMAT score coupled by great work experience and recs from credible business people would certainly make them take a hard look. So if the donors who will go to bat for you is your boss and the CEO of an admired company, you're in good shape.
