I’m torn between these two schools to be an animation major. I know Ringling has an amazing animation program, but so does USC except USC is a university that is not surrounded by artists and I don’t know which is better, an art school or a normal university.
You need to look beyond just which school has a better program. You need to consider pragmatically what you can realistically afford.
Have you looked at the number$$$ yet?
Both schools are similarly expensive.
Ringling has the better program for CA. Admit rate for CA at Ringling is around 10%.
