USC or Tufts class of 2018??

I'm a high schools senior struggling to pick a school. I'm looking to study IR with an emphasis on Latin American Studies. Is one really better academically than the other? Will I gain an advantage by going to one over the other? My parents really want me to go to tufts, but being from New York, USC seems like such a fun adventure. Any thoughts? Thank you!!

Tufts is probably the best school to study IR (the Fletcher school is extremely good).

@Violet1996‌ I applied for IR, but I think I’m now leaning toward more Latin American Studies/Spanish. Does one have an advantage over one in that respect? I love USC and Tufts. I love Los Angeles too but I don’t wanna pass up tufts because it’s a great school. I’m in such a quandary!!!

I’m not really sure, because I got into tufts as a premed/comp sci major. Both are amazing schools though =)

My son has taken several Spanish courses at Tufts (placed out of the language requirement) and has really enjoyed them. Excellent teachers. Don’t know anything about USC.

tufts is a much better school for IR. what about costs to you, including loans?
